Life has been busy and different lately! Garrett left to drive across the country to DC a few weeks ago and on his way out there he picked his mom up in Lander and then they drove to Lincoln, Nebraska to visit Garrett's brother Devin, his wife Torrie and their baby Emmett. Garrett was in love with Emmett and loved playing with him. I was constantly getting pictures which made it a little easier to not be there with them.
After stopping in Lincoln he stayed the night in Chicago with Torrie's brother Garrett and then made the rest of the trip the next day. Garrett has just been busy knocking doors and has been doing well! I am so proud of him! With him doing well it makes it a little bit easier to be away.
With him being away, this is what my nights look like. SO grateful for facetime! In other words I would be DYING without it.
I have just been super busy with school and trying to keep up with all my work. I am taking 18 credits and all my classes have been very demanding. It is good to be busy though. In between classes and everything else I have been babysitting Graham twice a week which has been good! Please excuse all the low quality iphone pics...
Other than classes and watching Graham I pretty much hang out with Carson and it has been the best thing! It is her first semester up her and it has been so fun to have her here. I don't know what I would be doing without her and Garrett gone. She keeps me busy and occupied which I love. We always have the best time together! A week or two ago, I had to go to a Wellness Fair for my Health and PE class and she came with me and it was so much fun! We got tons of free stuff and then we got Karie Anne's after which is literally the best.
We also went and saw Cinderella and went out to dinner! The movie was SO cute! We recommend it to anyone. We also really love cheap theaters and kids deals.
Last week I was trying to decide if I should go home or not and I was talking to Carson about it and she was like let's go! So Thursday night we decided to head to Billings the next day and it was the best decision ever. The car ride was so fun (we listened to Hannah Montana and Taylor Swift)! She's my kind of girl!
3 of the reasons I love Carson:
1. She loves chips
2. She makes me laugh constantly
3. She knows all the words to Hannah Montana & T. Swift like I do
(plus a million other reasons)
While I was in Billings, my mom and I hit Target twice, ate many many mini big-hunks, and hung out! It was the perfect weekend to be surrounded by family! I was happy I could be there for Mother's Day! On Saturday night, all of us went to my Dad's favorite store Shipton's Big R that is new in the heights which was fun!
After that we went to Umi Steakhouse. My mom and I had never been but you go and sit around the grill and a guy cooks all your food in front of you. It was so much fun and the food was delicious. He would also go around the table and toss us food to catch in our mouth. Our family killed it (of course). He tossed us egg and shrimp. Both Payton and my dad got tossed to like 10 times in a row and it was pretty funny!
Then later that night we had my Grandma and Grandpa Williams and Carson out for strawberry pie! Only the best pie ever! And we talked for a long time and of course my mom got us all laughing pretty hard!
And Sunday was Mother's Day! I am so glad that we get to celebrate this day for all the important women in our lives! I am lucky enough to have some of the best! I am so grateful for my mom of course but some of the others are my mother in-law Debbie, my Grandma Williams, and my Grandma Stott!
My Grandma William's is the most creative and talented woman that I know! She is also so sweet, fun, and hip! I love that about her! I love that she has an iphone and keeps up with all of us crazy girls! I am so grateful for her and the way that she raised my mom and the relationship that they have! I am grateful for her impact in my life! PS. Thanks for making my wedding the best!
My Grandma Stott is so sweet! She is also very talented and also very fun! I love that we have lived SO close to her my whole life! I will always remember going down almost every Sunday and there would ALWAYS be a treat for us before we left! To this day I love to play games with her and to just sit and talk! She is so sweet and kind! She is also the healthiest woman ever!
I am also so grateful for Garrett's mom Debbie! I am so grateful for her generosity and kindness! She has always made me feel so comfortable and welcome! I am so grateful that she raised Garrett the way that she did! Thank you for teaching Garrett to make his bed, to be a gentleman, and to work hard! Thank for all of your support Debbie, we love you!
We were lucky enough to be able to get google hangout to work so that everyone was able to see Micah call home! With Garrett in DC, me in Rexburg, Devin & Torrie & Emmett in Lincoln, and Debbie, Vince & Colby in Lander leaves us all over the map. We were able to talk to her for almost an hour and it was so fun! She is doing so good and so so happy! Here are a few screenshots from when we talked.
*Emmett clearly stole the show which is ok with all of us*
My mom is so funny because she plans her Mother's Day breakfast and dinner and then buys it so she gets what she wants and then we make it! Works out nicely for us! For breakfast we had crepes which were delicious! And for dinner we had steak, shrimp, mushrooms, salad, and more strawberry pie.
I can't even begin to describe how much I love my mom. She is my favorite daily phone call (other than Garrett when he is away), my shopping buddy, my biggest fan, my comforter and best friend. She is so kind, hilarious, fun, thoughtful, giving, and a million other things. I am so grateful for the relationship that we have. Glad I was able to celebrate with her! Love you momma!
