NEW YEARS

HAPPY NEW YEARS! Where in the world did 2014 go?! It was by far my favorite year ever and it will be hard to beat! It was a busy year, surprising year, but definitely the best year!

The first exciting thing to happen was that we got engaged! On February 28, 2014 Garrett Irene asked me to marry him! I couldn't have been any happier and it was the best weekend surrounded with both of our families!

The second awesome thing to happen was we ended our long distance relationship that lasted 9 months! It was SO good to be in the same city and see each other IN person everyday! I showed up in Lander and this is what was on his garage! I would like to say that I would not wish long distance upon anyone but it did teach us a lot of things!
The third BEST thing was that we got married!! On August 2, 2014 we were sealed for time and all eternity in the Billings, Montana LDS Temple by my Grandpa Stott. It was the most perfect and special day. We felt so loved and spoiled by all of our family and friends. Thinking back on that day I would not have changed one thing. It was perfect! We love being married and are enjoying all of the adventures that it brings!

Some of the other things that happened this year was that Garrett transferred from Weber State in Ogden to BYU-I in Rexburg, my sister Elle got married, we went on our honeymoon to Cancun, became Aunt Hannah and Uncle Garrett to sweet Emmett, drove to Lincoln Nebraska for Thanksgiving to see Devin and Torrie, made the best friends with the Jacobs and Vance's, Micah left on her mission to Sweden, had a snowmobiling trip to Lander with the Jacobs and Vance's, spent our first Christmas together and many many more things!

NEW YEARS EVE

For New Years Eve we went out to dinner at Rio Sabina's with my parents, my sister Elle, and our brother in-law David. We had never been there before but it was a fun atmosphere and place to be! It is a Mexican/ Southwestern grill restaurant with deer mounts all over the place, some even had mustaches on them.

Garrett ordered the Three Amigos which was three different enchiladas. He first ate the beef one and was agreeing with my dad that it was pretty hot. After he finished that one he started to eat his pork enchilada and it was wayyy hot. His upper lip was sweating, he was drinking a lot of water, and had to prepare himself to take each bite. He could only eat about half of it. It was quite entertaining if you ask me. The complimentary salsa they gave with the chips were dang good though. I do recommend them.

After dinner we went to the new Annie with my parents. I LOVED it! It was cute, funny, and so fun! I was laughing throughout the whole movie and smiling because it was so adorable! The boys even liked it too! I would recommend going for sure! I might even want to go again!

We came home after the movie and ate some shrimp dip and played games! We played blokus, rummikub, (I won twice) and rook. It has been a reoccuring thing while being in Billings that we end up playing games every night with my parents and we are loving it!
*this is our action shot, not planned at all ;)*

*Notice Joel's cards and Garrett's cards below haha. Garrett did have the whole deck*
*Let's just say Joel loves me taking pictures all the time with my new camera*

We had the best 2014 and like I said 2015 is going to have a hard time beating it but I know it will be a great year! We are excited for the things that it will bring, the people we will meet, and the blessings we will receive.

So, here's to 2015, to bettering ourselves, and to making the best of the time we have! Goodbye 2014 you were good to us and we will never forget you.
