Sunday after church we had Elle and David over for Garrett's birthday meal and root-beer floats! So good! We had been craving root-beer floats for a while so we were satisfied. Then later that night our friends the Vance's had us over for a hot chocolate bar because everyone knows how much Garrett loves it! It was so much fun! They had whipped cream, chocolate sauce, marshmallow cream, and more!
Monday was his actual birthday. That morning I served him toast-ems which are knock-off brand pop-tarts that you can get at the dollar tree. He used to have them growing up and he loves them! So his birthday breakfast was 2 cherry toast-ems and a glass of milk.
Even though it was his birthday we still had to go to class and he had to take a test. But since we had a break we came home and he got to open his birthday gifts. I got him a pair of grey nike shoes that he loved! I'm so happy too because I had a really hard time trying to decide!
For family home evening the Jacobs and the Vance's came over and we had spring rolls together which were delicious! Then we went and played 2 games of laser tag at the Craze and lost both. But in our defense we played against a family that probably lives there on the weekends.

After laser tag we came back to our apartment and had strawberry pie, homemade whipped cream, and some had ice cream. It turned out SO good! No one had tried it before and they all really enjoyed it. Garrett's old roommate Matt Fales and his girlfriend came over for dessert as well and everyone was quizzing them and giving them a rough time.
